WILSEY CHRISTIAN CHURCH : Ice Cream Social and Kansan Celts Performance

THE KANSAN CELTS WILL BE IN CONCERT AT THE WILSEY CHRISTIAN CHURCH

WILSEY, KANSAS. SUNDAY OCTOBER 8TH, 2023 AT 5:30PM. 

ICE CREAM SOCIAL FOLLOWING CONCERT.

The KANSAN CELTS band consists of two parents and 12 kids, making one of the most entertaining family bands in the area. The parents, Nate and Paula, love music and want to pass that love on to their children. They hope to start training their grandchildren in the near future!

Band appearances include the five at-home Wilson kids as well as some of the married ones and occasionally a son-or-daughter-in-law. The following instruments are used in their band: Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin, Cello, Banjo, upright Bass, Hand Drum, Hammer Dulcimer, and Accordion. The Wilson Family, also known as Kansan Celts, plays a wide variety of music, hymns, folk, bluegrass, and Irish music.

They are proud of their Scots-Irish heritage and wanted to reflect that in the band's name and music.

Originally from the South, Nate and Paula were transplanted to Kansas in 2006 when Nate was called to pastor a Church in Manhattan. In addition to loving Jesus and playing music together, the Wilsons enjoy dancing (Scottish Country dancing and a little clogging) and are heavily involved with their church family in Manhattan, where Nate still pastors at Christ the Redeemer Church. Nate and Paula teach a variety of classes as well, including beginning guitar, Biblical languages, childbirth, and parenting classes.
