GATHERING IN THE GROVE

Gathering in the Grove is an annual fall gathering in Council Grove, Kansas, bringing women together to celebrate Western heritage, beautiful art, and the enduring spirit of the West.

Founded in 2006, Gathering in the Grove began as a fine art show in the iconic Flint Hills. Today, reimagined with fresh vision and care, it continues to honor artists and patrons with a high-quality showcase built for years to come.

New Event Format!

Gather with women of the West for an evening rooted in heritage, artistry, and community.

FRIDAY EVENING
Territory Legacy Gala | Ticketed | $45 per person

-Join us for an intimate evening celebrating the women who have shaped the West and those carrying its traditions forward. The evening will feature a keynote speaker, meaningful conversation and community-building with rural women, good food, and an inspiring collection of Western art and first-chance shopping.

SATURDAY EVENING
Artist Showcase | Open to the public

-On Saturday, Gathering in the Grove opens its doors for an evening of shopping and celebrating local Western women makers. Discover one-of-a-kind work from silversmiths, leatherworkers, Western upholstererers, beadworkers, potters, and more. Saturday's gathering will be party of Candlelight Charm, Council Grove's beloved evening Christmas shopping event, with festivities and local businesses welcoming guests along Main Street. Attire: western formal.

Come for the art, stay for the fellowship. And celebrate the enduring beauty of the West.

Gathering in the Grove is accepting submissions for our 2026 show to be held in conjunction with Council Grove premier holiday event, CANDLELIGHT CHARM, on November 13th & 14th, 2026.
