Welcome to Washunga Days 2026!
Washunga Days 2026 marks an exciting new chapter for one of Council Grove’s most beloved traditions. While remaining rooted in the rich history and community spirit that have defined Washunga Days for generations, the festival is being thoughtfully reimagined with a fresh energy, including modern, broadly appealing musical offerings and renewed opportunities to come together as a community.
Musical acts for 2026 will be announced in the coming months. As always, fan-favorite events will return, including the parade, car show, vendor fair, kids’ activities, Kaw Nation programming, and more. All of the elements that make Washunga Days a celebration for every age.
This year also brings a renewed focus on community connection. Friday night will kick off the festival with Community Night, featuring a downtown street dance designed to bring neighbors, friends, and visitors together. Saturday will host the full slate of Washunga Days activities, kicking of with the introduction of our Washunga Days Cornhole Tournament and capped off with exciting live music that’s currently being booked.
And the best part? Wristbands are only required for the music this year! All other activities are free and open to the public.
✨ GET INVOLVED ✨
Washunga Days is powered by volunteers, and planning for 2026 is underway. If you’re interested in helping shape the future of this cherished festival, we invite you to join the Washunga Days Committee. Volunteer opportunities will be shared soon, and we’d love to have you be part of it.
