76th Annual Spooky Halloween : Parade & Business Trick or Treating

Delighting ghosts and goblins alike, annually for 76 years, our Council Grove Halloween Costume Parade is a Flint Hills tradition, loved by visitors and locals alike. In 2022 our parade boasted more than 500 costumed kids and adults. This family-friendly event, led by our Council Grove Trolley!

About the event
The festivities happen on the last Saturday in October. This year we have business Trick or Treating down Main Street, our Council Grove Recreation Department’s Halloween Glow Egg Hunt, a kids and families costume contest with professional photography courtesy of SisterAct Photography, and is capped off by a Halloween-themed movie at our Riverwalk Amphitheater.

Line up at the Guardian Of The Grove at 4:30; Parade begins at 5:00.Â
Main Street Trick-Or-Treating starts after the parade.Â
Stop by KANVAS from 5:30 to 6:30 for your complementary photo and to be entered in our costume contest to win 1 of 3 prizes.
Bring your pre-carved pumpkins to the Amphitheater for your chance to win 1 of 3 prizes!
CG Rec. Dept. Halloween GLOW EGG HUNT starts at 7pm at the Neosho Riverwalk Park / White Pavillion.
MOVIE TIME @ 8 pm (with popcorn, of course!) and always family-friendly.
