About the event

We welcome, for the 18th year, the world-class Kansas City Symphony to the Flint Hills.

THEME

The theme of the 18th annual event is focused on transportation.

SUNSET CONCERT

Symphony in the Flint Hills is proud to partner with the Kansas City Symphony for our Signature Event. Each year, their performance concludes with a Flint Hills sunset.

GUEST VOCALIST CONNIE DOVER

Acclaimed by the Boston Globe as “the finest folk ballad singer America has produced since Joan Baez,” singer Connie Dover will perform with the Kansas City Symphony during the sunset concert at this year’s Symphony in the Flint Hills Signature Event.

Dover is a singer, poet, and Emmy-winning producer and composer. Her interpretations of Scottish, Irish, and American folk songs display a depth and breadth of range that have earned her a place among the world’s finest traditional singers. Read the full announcement.
